Photography

Hi! We are so excited you are considering our ranch as a location for your photo shoots! This page should give you most, if not all, of the details you need to know. If you have more questions or want to get in touch with us about scheduling a photoshoot, contact Kala at kala@traesureappleranch.com.

Due to the fact that we are all holding down full time jobs as well as taking care of all of the operations at the orchard and we do not have actual business hours, we are scheduling photoshoots by appointment only for the spring 2021 season when the trees are blooming. Spring sessions will be a bit trial and error because we don’t know from year to year exactly when the trees will bloom. We are estimating they will be in full bloom around mid-late April and we are thinking we will have 2-3 weeks of blooming.

Traesure Apple Ranch is a fully operation family farm and therefore we will be requiring you (photographer and client) to sign a waiver releasing us from any liabilities that may occur during your time on our property and also stating that you agree to the rules that we have laid out below.

  1. Risk of Loss – Traesure Apple Ranch does not assume responsibility for damage or loss of any equipment, personal items, or merchandise prior to, during, or following your session.  Please do not leave your valuables unattended.
  2. Supervise children at all times – Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times for their safety (there are two ponds on the property) as well as to ensure that they don’t pick apples, climb trees, play on equipment, etc.
  3. Respect the property – Please do not pick any apples, touch the trees, climb the trees, climb on the equipment, etc.  This is not only for the safety of you and your clients, but also for the safety and preservation of the orchard.
  4. Any trash that you carry in or make while you on our property must be carried out with you, including but not limited to water bottles, paper products, and any dog waste should you bring them along to be included in your pictures.
  5. Photo sessions will take place at one of several locations on the orchard that the owners have predetermined. We will have these available for you and your client (or photographer) to choose from during your shoot. If you would like to use more than one location during your session, that is fine, but we will need to know this ahead of time so we can plan accordingly. Please also keep in mind that time spent moving between locations will be included in your hour time slot. If you need more time, you are more than welcome to schedule two hourly slots.
  6. Our orchard is 276 acres and all of our trees are quite a bit off of the main road, so you will need to drive to your photo session location rather than walk. Keep in mind that the lanes are stone or dirt and there are potholes, bumps, etc. We are not responsible for anything that might happen to your vehicle as your drive in the orchard.
  7. Props – You will be responsible for any props that you might want to use during your session (blankets, fruit baskets, etc.).  If you wish to use apples in your photoshoot (fall), they must be purchased from Traesure Apple Ranch prior to the session.  Absolutely NO apple picking during your session is allowed.

Failure to comply with above guidelines will result in the removal of your permission to photograph/be photographed in our orchard as well as the possibilities of extra fees to compensate for any disrespect of and/or damage to our land, trees, equipment, buildings, etc.

A nonrefundable $25 (per hour session) fee will be due at the time of scheduling (invoice will be sent to you) and a copy of the waiver will be emailed to you which will need to be printed, signed (by photographer and client) and in our hands before you will be allowed on the property.

When emailing us to schedule, please include your name and photography business name (if you are the client, please let us know the name of your photographer), your preferred date/time, how many people will be in your session, and your phone number.

If you are a photographer and interested in other options (ie. all day site fee for mini sessions, season fee for the spring blooming season and/or fall harvest season) please contact us and we can discuss the options.
